A METAPHOR IN PRACTICE:
If you listen closely, you will learn that every song tells a story, while simultaneously tapping into the emotions we store and feel in our bodies. The power of songs and music influences my work as a therapist through a focus on story-telling, insight-oriented therapy and somatic-based practices.

In art, shades of color collide and coalesce to form one piece. As an IFS informed therapist, i help clients discover the different shades of who they are. Shades that have been created throughout a lifetime of personal stories. knowing, accepting, and healing the different parts within can be more useful, more beautiful, or in many ways greater than all of the separate parts on their own. My mission is to help my clients feel whole & complete within their story.

As an artist, songs and shades are tangible elements of my creative work. As a therapist, they serve as metaphor for my therapeutic work. This doesn't mean we paint or sing in session - unless you really wanted to! - but i see creativity as an important element to all things.

My approach provides a safe environment to tell your stories and heal from traumatic chapters and events that have occurred in your life. We work together to gain awareness and acceptance of all facets of you as they show up in your stories and your day today life. Through an insight oriented lens, I can help you uncover internal emotional barriers that limit peaceful existence. I teach my clients mindfulness and meditative techniques to help harness the mind, body, spirit connection in order to feel more connected to yourself. For in-depth symptom management (anxiety & OCD symptoms, panic attacks, insomnia, etc.), I implement more action oriented modalities ( ACT - acceptance & commitment therapy, MCBT - mindfulness based cognitive behavioral therapy, and EMDR ) while maintaining safety through an attachment - focus.
